When you mention Las Vegas, the first thing that comes to mind is the Las Vegas Strip. Commonly known as ‘The Strip’, it is home to some of the best and largest hotels in the world. This is the place where all the action takes place. Out of the 20 largest hotels in the world, 15 of them can be found in Las Vegas. The city has massive, lavish casino hotels that have been decorated with great deal of attention to detail to create a fantasy-like atmosphere. Most of the hotels-casinos in the strip are close to each other, so walking would be a reasonable option of traveling around. On the other hand, there is the Las Vegas Monorail that runs from MGM Grand Hotel at the end of the Strip to the Sahara Hotel at the north end of the Strip. Famous hotels and casinos can also be found off Strip and downtown as well.
Even though the hotels rates are far less than what you would pay in other major cities, they skyrocket during the weekends, so if you are looking for the cheaper rates, plan your trip during the weekdays. Doing this will save you a bundle. Take advantage of package deals that may include a show, meals and gambling coupons. Keep in mind that amenities that are usually included for free in other cities many be quite expensive in Las Vegas.
These hotels come with their own attractions and shows that pull crowds from all over the US and the rest of the world. Do try them on your visit.. !!

Though Las Vegas has been choosed as venue for All Star Game of NBA - 2007, Las Vegas has never been a favorite among the major leagues management. The reason is simple and do makes sense. Las Vegas is full of attractions, right from casinos to famous Las Vegas shows, there is something for everybody. Because of which I don’t think (maybe major sporting events management thinks too) that hosting an event in the Sin City Vegas would be of much attraction to people.
All the major leagues like NBA, NFL, MLB and NHL are having strict anti-gambling policies, whereas betting is legal in Vegas. This has discouraged professional teams coming up in a big way in Las Vegas. So does this mean that betting is killing major leagues sports in Vegas ? Well, I would say yes it is. Many casino owners refuses to take off sports betting from their charts. Another fact that is not encouraging major sporting events to take place in Vegas is the small size of Television population in Vegas.
Though there are plenty of attractions in Las Vegas, and car racing events do pump up adrenalin big time, true sport fans would always miss hot major league games in Vegas.
And yes, about the Golf Courses in Las Vegas. There are around 60 golf courses in Las Vegas. Some of the prominent golf courses where you can enjoy are :-
- Primm Valley Golf Club.
- Rio Secco Golf Club.
- Shadow Creek Golf Club.
- TPC at The Canyons.
- TPC at Summerlin.
- Wynn Golf and Country Club.
Well, thats it for now, Will come with more.. take care !
